Night Genes, a San Francisco band with Boise roots, met a crowd and venue to match its playful sound March 24 at The Crux. You could almost feel the dialogue between front man Eric Ingersoll and the packed-like-sardines attendees who grooved and clapped their way through a set that included “Letting Go of a Moonbeam” (about former California governor Jerry Brown) and “Cyber Me.”
