After two hours of testimony from dozens of people both in support and in opposition of the bill, the Senate State Affairs Committee voted 7-2 along party lines to approve a bill that would require women to undergo an ultrasound before an abortion is performed.
The bill’s sponsor, Boise Republican Sen. Chuck Winder, said that the State of Idaho has a duty to protect its citizens, even unborn children.…
